The latest is the 4th dimension: Time, which allows explorers not only to determine the geological characteristics of a potential play, but also tells them how a reservoir is changing in real time. But all this is very expensive. And oilmen are zealous cost-cutters.

As a geologist this caught my attention but with a very short analysis it can only be said, they know not of which they speak, perhaps they are charlatans and liars at best, or in my estimation, sobre lleno de mierda.

Sounds kinda like the guy who came into my office trying to sell me on the idea he could hear oil and give it’s depth with his super sensitive microphone system.

4d has been around for years - you compare the seismic and fluid responses from years ago to a more recent survey and you can see how the fluid has moved. Very expensive especially when you put bottom cables but it’s been used for years successfully. As for this new magnetic procedure from planes? No way I’d pay for it and would rather have a bunch of guys with divining rods before I paid for this...

This is not referring the to airborne technology but rather to the land based imaging systems. Note that another writer on this thread said that the land based systems could tell how fluids moved around underground.

Its likely the writer doesn’t know what he is saying. The proof is in the pudding of course. A lot of the NXT energy solution business is south of the border. I looked for confirmation for their technology but couldn’t find it. However, their revenues leaped to 10 million in 2013 from under 1 million in 2012.
