BUBBLING UP – Dick & Dee Dee: “Thou Shalt Not Steal”

John Loudermilk, whose cousin was my battalion CO at Fort Lewis, was a successful Country writer who often crossed over to Pop. He had a vocal hit of his own in 1960 but never repeated that success. This song has a truly arresting production.

A big hit in Southern California, but it doesn't make the playlists at "oldies" stations.
