You probably haven't heard of Chris Mapp, a South Texas boat salesman and one of the six also-rans challenging John Cornyn in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, and here's hoping you never have occasion to hear of him again after March 4.
If you do, chances are disconcertingly high that it will somehow involve a smoking rifle and a dead Mexican. That would at least be in line with what he told the center-right editorial board of The Dallas Morning News, the most influential newspaper in the state:
South Texas businessman Chris Mapp, 53, told this editorial board that ranchers should be allowed to shoot on sight anyone illegally crossing the border on to their land, referred to such people as "wetbacks," and called the president a "socialist son of a bitch." Mapp elaborates on the topic on his campaign website.
"Let's face it," he writes, "there would be a lot less concrete, roofs, and landscaping without illegal immigrants (yes, illegal immigrants - that is what they are)."
But Mapp isn't anti-immigrant per se. "It is important to accept new citizens but it is important to know: who they are, their background, and that they will contribute in a positive way to be good citizens."
And who are these "good citizens"? Glad you asked.
The term good citizen means earning your own way, paying taxes, No entitlements, No food stamps, NO FREE HEATH CARE, NO HAVING NUMEROUS NEW BORNS TO COLLECT MORE WELFARE, no free housing, no obama phones, and no right to vote for the first three years. They must be willing to pledge allegiance to this country, speak English and have a job which has taxes deducted like anyone else. NO SPECIAL TREATMENT. A tax return, even if no funds are owed, must be filed in order

2. Next, pass a law making it against the law, with a huge fine, to employ an illegal immigrant. Enforce this rigorously. To lighten the burden on the businesses who would be affected by this. Make an exception to the law providing that the state can legally contract to hire out these detainees to the landscaping, roofing, farming etc. companies that need their services, that would otherwise be employing them illegally.
The main difference is that they still get to work in the US, which is what they wanted, except the money they make picking crops, etc. doesn't go for beer, cigarettes, and back to the family in Mexico.
Instead, the state uses any income they generate to provide for their support during their detention period and for the cost of deporting them.
In other word, de-incentivize them.
I dont think Mapp is running 3rd or 4th in the race. The worst thing that could happen is what happened to Don Young. He decided to suppport amnesty to show he wasn’t racist. Begich and Murkowski aren’t exactly in positions of strength.

Alaska Delegation United for Immigration Reform
Leading with an allusion to Elizabeth Wanamaker Peratrovichs successful fight for equality during the 1940s, and pointing out that Alaskas civil rights movement preceded the national cause by roughly a generation, Senators Lisa Murkowski and Mark Begich and Representative Don Young wrote that the 49th state may be considered the reddest of states by national political observers, but the reality on the ground shows it to be a state that is highly diverse in population, culture and tradition.
The real problem is our open, southern border. Today’s illegal border crossers are not your father’s “wetbacks”. It well known that today, mixed in with the mexicans, the ones coming across the border are al-qaeda terrorists, and other foreign agents bent on doing us harm.
Well, of course! No-brainer there, sir.
The question is can he win an election. I'd have to say, that, in 2014 -- even in Texas -- he cannot. This is politics; not philosophy.
Too many conservatives are unable to distinguish between the two.
I’d be honored to meet him.
Bullcrap. I'm sick of people falling all over themselves to apologize (or to condemn an ally) every time some bedwetting liberal pansy gets its panties in a wad over some politically incorrect language. To Hell with them.
Never apologize, never explain, never attack an ally.
Where do I donate.
Maybe, just maybe, there are those of us who are tired of the mealy-mouthed whom would rather ‘reach across the aisle’ or take 5min to answer a simple yes/no question than speak the simple truth.
He’s unfiltered and speaking from the heart. We ALL should be standing up for his Right to do so as well as defend the message instead of worrying about ‘the Party’ or the ‘how the media will portray’ (as if the latter would do anything for the benefit of the Constitutions).
We’ve got enough wadded panties in the capitals and D.C., time to pull out the wedgie and the big guns for once.
Maybe, just maybe.......yawn.
PC is alive and well in Texas

So what?
