Yes, you read that headline correctly.
A Federal court actually approved banning the U.S. flag in a U.S. school to appease violent threats from Mexican students, many of them illegal aliens.
A panel of the Federal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals today upheld a California's high school’s decision to forbid students from wearing American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo. The ruling was unanimous, 3-0.
The Court said the officials' concerns of racial violence outweighed students' freedom of expression rights. Administrators said they feared the American-flag shirts would inflame the passions of Mexican students celebrating the Mexican holiday. So they told the students to turn their shirts inside out. When they and their parents refused, the students were sent home.

American children can’t show the American flag in American schools because it might anger the invaders.
Cinco de Mayo involved an unexpected Mexican victory over the French. (If the French had won, maybe Mexico would have ended up part of Canada.) Anyhow, perhaps the flag that should be banned is the CESM one. As for the USA? It was busy feuding with itself in a Civil War. Its modern flag did not yet exist.
Someone needs to get a life.

Not sure if there should be taunting allowed, but that’s different from being patriotic. If Mexikids want to wear a Mexican flag, well and “grande.” They’re guests over here. Rude guests get the heave ho everywhere except, apparently, here.
From up Canada way, it could be said I do not have a dog in the hunt. Having said that, I do sincerely believe that the United States of America is the last bastion of freedom. This in a world that would like to impose much of it's failed ideas on the rest of us.
I had believed that a dossier should be created. Take down the names. The names of those who so kow tow to minorities and use some facet of the laws to offend the very tenets of the Constitution. A Freeper assured me previously that such a list exists.
It was once said by a wise Japanese authority that "we have awakened a sleeping giant". This on the attack on Pearl Harbor. How right he was.
What we are seeing is either a continuing and passive acceptance of these rotten applications..... or hell will break loose. Too much of a ramble by me, but anyway, God Bless America. It must remain the Land of the Free.

I was told on another thread that WE have to assimilate the Mexicans.
Setting aside the operative party, what if they’re no interested and completely unmotivated, which, of course, is the case.

Here’s an idea - instead of violating the students’ right to free speech and expression, put some police in the schools and arrest and prosecute those who start violence, which is after all illegal - too simple apparently......

Question: Are Mexican Flag Shirts permitted? You bet your sweet bippy. English Flags—no, green flag of Mohammed, yes. Nazi flags banned, Soviet/Cubam Flags OK.
So I guess the 9th Circus Ct. believes it’s OK for Americans to get inflamed about illegal aliens doing their flag thing with La Raza and LULAC stirring the hatred pot.
This US internal “volcano” which is being created by activist judges’ decisions is going to erupt some day. It wont be pretty.
Perhaps the solution would be for americans to get violent at the mexicans celebrating mexican holidays in American schools.
Then the school could pass a new rule forbidding the celebration of Stinko de Mayo because it inflames the passion of american students, and then the court could find in favor of the school since they want to avoid violence.
Bottom line - violence works.
