How about the 10 million Ukrainians starved by Stalin and replaced in the communes by Russians. One of the worst genocides of the 20th century? Russians and Ukrainians won’t get along in our lifetimes.

What about 10 million Russians starved by Stalin (a Georgian) in Cuban and Volga regions, replaced by anyone else, including Ukrainians?
Do you know that Russia has some 20 million Ukrainian minority?

Actually, the total number of population losses by the end of 1933 (famine death and birth deficit) across the entire Soviet Union is estimated as 6–7 million, with famine deaths in the Ukraine estimated to be about 3-3.5 million, more specifically about 3.2 million.

“Russians and Ukrainians won’t get along in our lifetimes.”

If that’s the case, then how come Eastern Ukraine is actually still mostly populated by ethnic Ukrainians, and those Ukrainians are mainly Russian speaking?
