What is currently called ‘Ukraine’ is not actually located in the Ukraine region. What was once called ‘the Ukraine’ is now entirely within Russia and the country that is called Ukraine is now composed of what used to be Polish territory and territory that was ceded to Ukraine by the USSR in compensation for territory that the USSR seized from Ukraine.
Now the Russians want to take back what they gave away and you’re siding with them.
Nice.
You are correct. Let’s not forget that the word ‘ukraine’ meant for a 1,000 years in both Russian and Polish ‘borderlands’, and that the country, or at first province was in fact created in the 1700s by Russia and Poland. The Russkies consider the Ukrainians their poor cousins and the Ukrainian language as a dialect of Russian, something like Ebonics (it is cruder than Russian.)
