What is so astonishing about this debacle is that proponents of this law let the opposition get out in front to label and define it first.
They should have come out with a press conference to explain that the law is designed to prevent the atrocities being committed against Christians in other states.
I think we need some pretend gays to try to force a Muslim bakery to make their wedding cake.
The SCOTUS should take the next baker, florist, photographer, etc. case that comes up so they can make clear that the First Amendment trumps anti discrimination laws or policies.

So far in Arizona, sexual orientation isn’t on the list of protected groups,so this law was definitely a preemptive strike. However, as the make up of our elected representatives becomes more and more liberal, I don’t doubt the progressives will try to add homosexuals to that list. In that case, how will our local officials help Arizona’s conservatives and religious citizens? Or will we be forgotten?
