As much as I’ve had enough of the gay movement, I have to agree with the governor. These real life situations would all be protected if the governor signed the bill into law.
1) Muslim store owner tells a customer with an aide dog to leave the store.
2) Muslim taxi driver refuses a fare carrying a bottle of wine to a party
3) Muslim waiter refuses to serve a woman wearing a low cut top
4) Target checkout clerk refuses to ring up your bacon purchase
5) Muslim hotel clerk refuses a room to an unmarried couple.
Actually, employees get to do a job or quit. However, under the law, a religious person would not be forced to participate in something they believe God condemns. And honestly, if that means a Muslim butcher doesn’t sell bacon...I’ll go elsewhere, and gladly.
Let businesses and their owners follow their beliefs, and let customers follow theirs. Why does that bother you?
other than the fact that your examples are shown as decisions made by employees, rather than the business owners, I see no problem at all with those decisions. If a gay bakery doesn’t want to bake a hetero cake for my birthday... Well, I don’t want to force them to violate their principles. I’m quite sure there’s another bakery that would appreciate my business. See? Freedom of association.
