As a USC Trojan alumnus, I've naturally been proud in recent years that SC has pulled its ranking up alongside UCLA's--SC has indeed improved dramatically. However, I was unaware until reading your comment that meanwhile UCLA has been heading in the other direction, coming down to meet us.

That's too bad. By the way, my dad was UCLA '49, and my nephew earned his PhD there several years ago.
