After last week apologizing for comments calling the president a subhuman mongrel, Ted Nugent on Monday attacked the administration for what he called similarities to Nazi Germany.
The rocker and gun rights activist defended some of his past remarks on Monday on Dennis Millers radio show, days after apologizing for using the term mongrel to refer to President Barack Obama, which caused a storm of controversy when he hit the campaign trail for Texas Republican governor hopeful Greg Abbott.Miller pressed Nugent on using the term jackbooted thug.
The guy, hes just a horribly inept civil servant, Miller said, according to audio posted by left-leaning watchdog Media Matters. Hes just the guy in the toll booth who keeps giving back too much change to people and Ill be glad when hes out of there, but hes not a Nazi.
Well I dont think hes Adolf Hitler, Nugent said, but he told Miller he disagreed that the jackbooted thug comment was inappropriate.
There was an incrementalism to what happened in Germany and other places historically, where they came in slowly, Nugent said. And I think thats what Obamacare is, thats what I think most of what he represents. The IRS I really believe that what we see with the IRS can be compared accurately and historically to the early maneuvers of people like jackbooted thugs, like the Brownshirts [Nazi Storm Troopers]. I really believe that and I think that you are being too soft on them.
Miller again told Nugent he disagreed with the comparison, but Nugent pressed that the President Barack Obama wants to destroy the country.
I think he really wants to destroy America. I think he wants to follow the Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals book, destroy our economy, have a war between the haves and the have-nots.
In his apology on Friday, Nugent said he was trying to learn from better men with whom he had appeared on the campaign trail and said he would try to use more understandable language rather than street-fighter terms in the future.
A mongrel that acts subhuman, I could buy.
But Ted went a smidgen too far.
Did he REALLY???? How do you describe Obama,,,, super human????,,,, No offense but I think many freepers will disagree with you.
Human. If failing God’s vision for being human made one subhuman... then Nugent and everyone else on this mortal coil would be subhuman in that sense, making the term superfluous.
That said, it was clearly figurative, and mongrel seems to have been meant in the sense of dog, not the sense of mixed race. A clarification could have been in order.
IN LIBERTY
How do you clarify the truth my friend? by “turning your cheek and let whomever slap you in the face again????
You use a sloppy expression, you own up to its implications. Ted needed to man up to that.
If Miller agrees that obama is really trying to destroy America O’Reilly won’t let him be on his show. I’m sure he gets paid well for each appearance.
Personally, I’m back to the anti-christ thing. I was thinking that someone was pulling his strings. Now I’m thinking he really is controlling a lot of people and lots of people are truly afraid of him. He’s doing anything he wants and all congress does is file a lawsuit. What will they do when the court, who fears him, rules against congress? Once he wins that battle, he’s never leaving. It has to be fear. Otherwise, congress could shut him down by closing the check book.
Sloppy???? What was sloppy about what I said???? Do I need to reiterate???? If you choose to be soft on Obama you choose to do so,,,, he is however not being soft on our “Constitution” nor us Americans. He’s a tyrant that needs to be tried and sent to prison.
Your absolutely correct bro....
Never apologize when it comes to politics. It only gives critics power.
I heard a weekend talkshow host going on and on about what Nugent said as if he was an elected politician who lied about Obamacare and Benghazi...it is ridiculous that our side insists civility on our activists while the other side doesn’t.
Agree, as I posted elsewhere on FR, i.e. that Nugent used the wrong terms to describe Obama. “Mongrel” is a term used to describe a mixed breed dog, so let’s keep it at the animal level.
“Subhuman” was a term Hitler and the Nazis and the Japanese used to describe Jews, Russians, Poles and the Chinese. Many of these groups were subjected to Dr. Mengele and Japanese Unit 731 inhuman medical experiments because they were viewed as either “subhumans” or “non-humans”.
However, I feel that nothing is wrong in accurately describing Obama as a damned Communist traitor, narcisstic ego maniac, pathological liar, legend in his own mind, Alinsky toadie and America/England hater par excellance.
When referring to dogs and Obama, just mention that he ate them. That should get PETA on his ass.
As I mentioned elsewhere, when Obama goes to Asia, all the dogs are nervous, very nervous.
Meanwhile, I wonder how Mrs. Sasquatch is doing?
aka Obama is a mongrel. Best case is he’s half American.
Can’t quite comprehend why he apologized - everything he said was spot on.
lol!
I know Bill O likes to read FR so I often add this to discussions relating to him.
Uncle Ted knows the Alinsky play book and he pushed their button to see how the Left works the play book:
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
The way you fight the Left is you turn their Alinsky play book against them. They are the racists. They are the destroyers of America. Zer0 is the nit wit who is frozen like a deer in the headlights—something Uncle Ted knows well as a hunter.
