ACU and CPAC were exposed as frauds circa 2009 when David Keene tried to extort FedEx for millions of dollars. Inexplicably, the NRA hired Keene as its’ new president!

I'm 100 percent in agreement with Bozell on this one. The organizers, primarily Norquist, is either an Islamophile or a flat-out Muslim. They foment anti-Semitic hatred and are probably in cahoots with Saudi Wahibists.

If a homosexual wants to be a conservative, there’s nothing stopping him. If an atheist wants to be a conservative, there’s nothing stopping him. But there’s absolutely no reason why queers and atheists should need to go as their respective groups to a conservative conference, other than to promote their particular agendas.

Ramsbothan: You got it! Conservatives come in all types but the one thing they have in common is core conservative principles.

To be a member of an atheist organization with a booth at CPAC is an attempt to divide conservatives, not unite them.

Norquist is someone who cannot be trusted. Sorry about Keene. He has done some good things over the past decades. Hope he catches himself before more dissension arises.

The first clue was when a nation that “overwhelmingly describes itself as conservative” voted in the biggest socialist president in history...TWICE.

"What is becoming clear is that the GOP are moving to silence any faith-based conservatives."

If the GOP are working to neutralize the Christians, they are handicapping themselves. The faith-based conservatives are the hardest working campaigners in the war on the ground. They are the feet of the political campaign. They are the ones waving signs, knocking on doors and getting on the phone banks and telling fellow Republicans to vote. There is no substitute for these volunteers and the Republican Party had better protect them like their prized jewels.

There are 3 legs to conservativsm:
  1. national security
  2. social conservatism
  3. fiscal conservatism / constitutionally-limited government

If a person or an organization doesn't support all three, they are no conservative.

Trouble is that libertarians are attempting to cast themselves as "tea party conservatives" although they try to balance on only one leg of the stool.

CPAC is trying to operate on only 2 of the three legs.

The GOPe tries to operate with one leg cut off and another sawed off half way.

We need a national organization that will firmly rest on all three legs of the conservative stool. To me, that's Free Republic. The question is: how to better get the word out.

CPAC “jumped the shark” in 2012 when it gave Trump a platform. The guy’s NOT a conservative, he’s a narcissistic, megalomanical blowhard..
