A member of Hawaii’s House of Representatives is criticizing an ambitious, federally funded sex education program currently in use in 12 of the state’s public schools.
The pilot curriculum, called “Pono Choices,” targets 11- to 13-year-old students. (“Pono” is a Hawaiian word that basically means “good” or “moral.”) Its creators include the University of Hawaii and, of course, Planned Parenthood.
Rep. Bob McDermott, a Hawaii Republican, claims that the curriculum is “not age appropriate and not consistent with state policy” for a slew of reasons, reports EAGnews.org.
McDermott’s biggest complaint is that the curriculum is wrong on a pretty major point: It defines the anus a “genital.”
“Genitals are sexual reproductive organs,” McDermott told EAGnews, “and the ass isn’t that.”

When I was a kid, back about 1969, there was a guy in our town who had a dispute with the developers where he had bought his new house. So he took to mowing his lawn...every day...wearing only a jock strap. House sales plummeted...
Folks complained to the police, but it turned out that the way the indecent exposure laws were written, he was perfectly legal. And this was in North Carolina.
I heard that he turned out to be a violent kook, though. And they eventually locked him up. But not for indecent exposure. I never did hear if the developers fixed his house.
That said, though, the worldview of Christianity is a unique one... attempts to rescue, not excuse, but rescue the sinner should be made. No other faith has this kind of class.
Unfortunately the spiritual warfare requirements of doing this have been shucked off by Christendom. I’ve had more than one supposedly serious Christian complain to me that “oh, those fags will never repent.” What kind of gospel was brought to them, is not explained.

Children going to an inner city public school told me that some early elementary grade students engage in sexually explicit activity with each other. Hiding in the coatroom when the teacher takes the class out to recess is one way.
In my day it was explained to you by older boys. Your parents just figured eventually you’d get educated.
Yet the heathens running the school claim, in a superior tone, that they believe in science — unlike those religious ignoramuses. They need to go back to Biology class.
