Tell me how a man who will be 44 in a few days who lost his full time job and health ins, now has to work PT no health ins with a Wife who has Stage 3 breast Cancer, under going Chemo, and a 12 year old, and is a Type 2 Diabetic supposed to find health ins or pay for it, when they can barely pay rent and utilities on what he makes. She can’t work for a year. She gets Breast & Cervical Medicaid from IND. The 12 year old Medicad, the adult male because he is a US Citizen gets ZIP! His scrit ran out in Dec 2013. No $800 for testing and the ENDO to get a new one? And if he gets another PT job she will lose the Chemo treatments.

Sorry to hear your story. I suspect while being sold as a means to insure all have health care, esp. those who cannot afford it, then those like you will not be able to afford it, but be taxed for not doing so.

But i do not have the word in that, but look to Jesus and pray in faith for help and deliverance.

Are they in a state that expanded Medicaid?

If they are in a state that did expand it, he can apply through the Marketplace and get insurance at probably very little monthly cost (if his income is low with that part-time job). The deductibles may still be high, but depends on the plan he chooses.

If they are in a state that did not expand Medicaid, he won’t get the low monthly cost (no tax credits/subsidy).

I’m sorry for their situation...hope things improve for all of them.
