Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer headed home Tuesday after five days in Washington to a state that has become embroiled in a national debate over religious and gay rights because of a bill on her desk.
The Republican governor is expected to arrive in Phoenix in the afternoon and likely will spend the next day or more pondering Senate Bill 1062 before deciding whether to sign or veto the legislation.

It is to the businesses that are being sued into bankruptcy, yes.
Correct. All of this screaming and hissyfits are her cover for the Veto that’s coming.
I know Jan very well. She won’t sign this. Not a chance.
I’d be shocked if she signs it.
Sounds like the course of action that will ensue.
But this bespeaks the lack of unity among even conservative Christians. Oregon already has a judge that ruled that it’s legal for militant gays to force religious people to act contrary to their beliefs, contrary to the First Amendment. Has to stop somewhere.
I would be surprised if this woman did not veto the measure. I don’t think she is any more reliable than her two “Republican” senators from AZ.
Guess you gotta be in Uganda or Russia to tell the liberal DC establishment where to go on this issue?
I meant the gay opposition is a waste of time. I support the religious freedom issue.
I hope we stand for freedom. I hope we stop legislating everything like the other side does. I hope we stand for lower taxes and cutting government spending. Everyday I work my butt off trying to get the Federal government off our backs. I want the EPA and ESA defunded. I want to take back our public land before there is nothing left of our lifestyle here in the West. The fact is that this was a vanity, meaningless bill, not necessary here in AZ as a situation like the one that happened in New Mexico could not happen here. One more thing, as a Jew, I think this is a slippery, slippery slope. I want her to veto this bill so we can really talk about this issues that mean something.
As always, playing right into their hands during an election year. We never ever ever learn.
That’s what people like Boehner, McCain, McConnell et al do. Romney still, too.
