Street gangs are pretty ugly, to be sure, but I don’t see any of them massacring schools full of little girls for the audacity to try to learn to read. I don’t see street gangs doing car bombings in crowded marketplaces. I don’t see street gangs hijacking jets and flying them into skyscrapers. What on earth Medea Benjamin sees I’d just as soon not know.
We do see street gangs randomly firing into crowds that include children in drive-bys.
But to be fair to them, I’m not aware of many times they intentionally targeted children.
