There is now little doubt that the Girl Scout cookie boycott is having an effect on cookie sales this year.
Girl Scout spokesman Kelly Parisi went on The OReilly Factor this week to try and defuse the mounting controversy, and Girl Scout executives have sent threatening letters to their critics.
Girl Scout CEO Anna Marie Chavez took to YouTube on Thursday to deny all charges leveled by the boycotters and to deny at least one charge they havent even made.
Recently, various individuals and organizations announced their intention to boycott GS cookies this year, based on mistaken beliefs about our movement," Chavez said. "These same individuals also believe the Girl Scouts has become too political.
We do not now, nor have we ever, had a relationship with Planned Parenthood," she claimed. "Girl Scouts of the USA believes that reproductive issues are deeply private issues best left to families. I find it unsettling that anyone would use the Girl Scout brand to have very adult conversations. A box of Girl Scout cookies is not a political statement.
We are committed to serving God and our country," she said. I hope I have cleared up any misconceptions out there about the nature of the Girl Scout movement and what it means to buy Girl Scout cookies.
Girl Scout watchdog groups say Chavez has cleared up nothing and responded with a flurry of fact checks provided to Breitbart News.
When Chavez insists the Girl Scouts have never had a relationship with Planned Parenthood, Girl Scout critics point to the 2004 admission made by Chavezs predecessor, Kathy Cloninger, on The Today Show: We have relationships with our church communities, with YWCAs, and with Planned Parenthood organizations across the country.

Since they embraced homosexuals and turned hard left... yes.
If you like you insurance you can keep your insurance.
Just another obama supporter lying.
If she wants to “prove it” she should resign.
pro-abortion (code for underage sex)
pro-homosexual (aka recruiting)
pro-feminist (aka hate the usa)
pro-dependance (aka big government)
there is no reason to support them.
"You have it all wrong. There would be more to buy their over priced cookies and more girls to sell them had they not all been ABORTED!"
I doubt if they even think that far . . . effects on their economy and the nation's economy should have stopped abortions over 40 years ago. Abortion is a selfish solution to their current problems.
I wouldn't even buy them a tent . . . they're already under the "umbrella" of the man/baby/marriage/heterosexual hating murderers of the Planned Predators. To holy hell with the lot of them.
They and the mothers of these little girls asked for it. Their whole affiliation with these monsters should have been headed off early. And, by the way, Susan G. Komen is still involved with the pink ribbons bitches.
The Girl Scouts have to prebuy all the cookies. The girls then have to sell them.
Donating to a troop direct is better, but there is still a cut that goes to the HQ.
This reminds you of the Susan Kohmer for a Cure controversy from a couple of years ago. It seems that the ladies of fashion like to have fashionable opinions to go with their fashionable clothes and of course they only support fashionable causes don’t you know. Empty headed women with no character.
