Hogwash. These levels coincided with the start of WW II but the war would have started even if we had not had so small an army. Correlation does not imply causality.
What makes this all the more horrifying is, that in truth, the leadership of the Democrat party wants the US to be attacked and destroyed. And this is not a bizarre conspiracy theory, but a philosophical goal of the left.
How insane could this be? It is not just the adamant Democrat goal of passionately preventing any form of missile defense for the US, under the ridiculous logic that “having missile defenses is provocative!”
Honestly, they actually said that. But in very real terms, the Democrat party wants that America to kneel, and bow its head, hoping against hope that some enemy has a sword to decapitate us with. Gutting the US military is part of that, as is subjugating the American people, by force of arms. In their minds, and they have said it, America is the strongest force for “evil” in the world.
Does Satan call righteousness “evil”?
Every day, such people pray before whatever slime gods they worship that America will be humbled, humiliated, defeated, and crushed. The thought of this happening brings them tears of joy.
It descends into madness, and they embrace the madness.
Dr. Eric Pianka received a standing ovation from his speech at the Texas Academy of Science, which called for the extermination of 90% of the population of Earth via airborne Ebola virus. Only two of the people in attendance were horrified by his remarks, and only one of them complained to the FBI that Pianka’s remarks encouraged biological terrorism of apocalyptic character. Pianka wanted to destroy the world, like a James Bond villain, and was given applause for the idea.
And these people were called “scientists?”

At this point, a valid question to the sane people in the room is whether all leftist political parties in the US should be outlawed, and that people who advocate the destruction of America and worldwide genocide be institutionalized to protect us all from their machinations.
Every defense cut must be matched dollar for dollar and year for year in some other part of the budget.
A 2015 dollar goes away at defense, then a 2015 dollar goes away at Education.
A 2025 dollar goes away at defense, then a 2025 dollar goes away at IRS.
If they’re going to be serious about cutting spending, then let’s make them be serious.
