Even if the theory was correct, that CO2 did contribute to the warming, man's contribution to the overall CO2 is quite small. What would we have to do to make a difference? Cut out all human generation of CO2? How would we keep warm, cook our food and heat water for hygenics? How would we distribute our basic needs? Here is a pie chart showing man's contribution:

Biological activity is part of a cycle, and doesn’t create CO2 by oxidizing “sequestered” carbon. Human activity is unique in this respect.

For me, it is a very complicated issue, and I agree that it is disturbing the way scientists have been turned into climate change commissars. In effect, the science has not been settled so much as harnessed.
