Jesus Christ would absolutely bake a cake for a gay person. Hed bake a cake for a straight person. Hed bake a cake for a girl, a boy, a person who isnt sure what they are, a black person, a white person Jesus would bake that cake if it, in some way large or small, drew that person closer to Him. . . . .
The disagreement comes on one issue only should a Christian provide goods and services to a gay wedding. Thats it. Were not talking about serving a meal at a restaurant. Were not talking about baking a cake for a birthday party. Were talking about a wedding, which millions of Christians view as a sacrament of the faith and other, mostly Protestant Christians, view as a relationship ordained by God to reflect a holy relationship. . .
You might think Jesus would bake a cake for a gay wedding. I think you are wrong because I dont Christ would collaborate in sin.

Surely there were many people that Jesus encountered who were sleeping with women not their wives, and maybe even males. But the Bible does not record a single instance where Jesus put anybody to death.
And in the one case where we are explicitly told that he is dealing with a woman who had committed adultery, he stopped people from stoning her, and then sent her away.
I do believe that there are people here who, if they saw a man lying in the street bleeding out, and noticed they were gay, would actually let them die. But I don’t believe that is a necessary or even expected part of being a conservative.
People have value because God created them. And all have sinned, and if we used “sinner” as a reason to not provide services to people, we would never serve anybody anything.
Were there women around doing the cooking mentioned in John 21:9? None are mentioned.
Jesus made wine for a wedding, and I’m pretty sure there were sinners at the wedding.
Jesus made loaves of bread for 5000 people, and I’m pretty sure there were sinners in the crowd.
Jesus washed the feat of his disciples, and they were sinners as well.
Nobody said “sinner” by itself. The qualifier is repentant or unrepentant, and doing something deliberately for someone openly unrepentant makes one an “enabler”, to use modern parlance (take note of 2 John 1:11).
Jesus would say “sin NO MORE”......!
John 5:14
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.
John 8:11
She said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.
I assume the bakeries find the issue to be with being asked to decorate the cakes in a way that makes it obvious that the wedding is two men or two women. Otherwise it’s just baking a cake and handing it over, and who knows what is done with it—whether it is used to trade with the neighborhood tramp for sex or feed the munchies after a drug party. Nobody asks them to decorate a cake for those cases. My suspicion has always been that the bakeries were being asked to put something they considered vulgar on the cake, which they likely wouldn’t do even in the case of a traditional marriage. Maybe they could just hand them a plain white cake and let them decorate it as they choose.
Yeah, baking a cake for a gay person is very different from backing it for a gay wedding. The Jesus I know wouldn’t acknowledge that as a “wedding”.
“Backing” = baking
A pathetic cave by Red State which is run by Erick Erickson who was so gawd-awful subbing for Rush I turned it off
Jesus would never bake a cake — that was not the purpose of his coming.
The only record we have that He baked anything was AFTER His Resurrection when he had some fish on a fire inviting His Apostles to eat.
And I doubt that He even lit the fire.
He’s right. Jesus ate with sinners in order to tell them the Good News but did NOT condone their sins.
An epileptic ballet at that!!!
Why not? He did well with wine. ;-)
The real question is: what gives the State the power to coerce Jesus into doing, or not doing, anything?
In that case Phillips was not refusing to sell bcz the men were sodomites, and in fact Phillips said he would be happy to sell them brownies or other treats to serve at the reception, just not a wedding cake, as the event was morally objectionable to him. I am surprised he went so far as offering to sell anything for the reception.
In addition, while Colorado law was expanded to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual preference (which must include animals) and gender identity - which was why the judge said he ruled for the sodomites - yet Colorado law discriminates against homosexuals by denying them marriage.
Thus the baker was acting consistent with Colorado's own interpretation of the extent of its antidiscrimination law. But here comes the judge, who might as well claim the devil made him do it.
Furthermore, as this is an issue of morality, then it is a religious issue as much as a legal one. Your faith determines your moral decisions.
And if the judge would not discriminate against the "gay wedding guys" because they are acting within the law, then would he say,
An Orthodox Jewish or a black bakery has to make a custom cake to celebrate a KKK convention?
Or a Christian company has to see equipment that will be used to produce abortions?
Or a evangelical has to make a special (if unsigned) advertising sign for a legal porn shop?
Or a artist (a decorated cake is) has to make a special sign, even if unsigned, for a customer who will use it for a immoral if legal celebration he/she disagrees with?
Or a liberal music artist has to sell music or a license to a Ted Cruz convention? (Romney was threatened with legal action even for dong so with music he had a license for, not that i support such music)
Or a devout Muslim baker sell buns to a hot dog stand?
A homosexual sign maker has to make and sell a custom made sign for a AFA event?
I want to be very careful about “creating words or actions” for Jesus...*

BTW-My “PawPaw” was Cicero... known as C.W.-...probably safer than “a boy named Sue/Cicero”-He was old and wise.
...born before the previous century & was very “concerned” about what the Word of God said to the individual. Thank You Father Jehovah God for putting that GRANDfather in my life.
How about the FREEDOM to choose who to serve, versus the OPPRESSION of being forced to serve those you do not wish to serve?
