Let’s not forget “geek”, or “knave”, or the dreaded “gunky”? Imagine the Super Bowl being decided because a referee heard someone mispronounce a cornerback named Miggers? Will the injured player be allowed some “me” time to recover his wounded psyche? And will the teams now be required to hire sideline counselors to help the aggrieved player through this turbulent experience?
I know some of you out there think this is P,C. insanity...and it is. But do we really want another tragic scene of a 6’5; 320 lb. offensive lineman breaking down in tears because someone yelled “YO MAMA!” at him?
Please Mr. Goodell, do it for the children...I mean, the players.
