KSAT-12 reached out to Chris Mapp's campaign for a statement Friday. His response follows:
Our current sitting US Senator John Cornyn is silent on the issues ranging from health care to IRS oversight. Our current US Senator is not bringing unity to our party.
The generation behind us feels very strongly about the issue of decriminalization and Im speaking about our current sitting US Senator does not seem to want to listen to the generation thats coming up behind us the generation that is going to be our next constituent base, those who really embrace the conservative ideas. It seems like theres a generational gap. What Im trying to say is Senator Cornyn exacerbates that generational gap.
We can no longer as conservatives accept the status quo establishment politician. Its time for a fresh voice.

Hey, KSAT, why did you wait UNTIL EARLY VOTING HAD ALREADY STARTED to reach out to Cornyn’s opponents?
(Perhaps to give Cornyn cover?)
Is Mr. Mapp saying he wants to decriminalize (legalize) drug addiction?
And THAT makes him an attractive “conservative” candidate?
Who does the TP’s “vetting” now? Valerie Jerret?
