I saw an interesting (there, I said it) model 91 come into the local shop. A lady who’s husband had passed brought it for info and an appraisal. It had very nice wood, which I thought strange. The guy doing the appraisal is a mil-surp expert and it was a captured gun from the Winter War that thad been refurbished by the Finns and remarked. It was in great shape.

My winter war 91 has stocks that were beat to crap and spliced.
Its a darn shame too because the new wood is tigers striped
but the original wood is not.

I assume it was used as a club at some point in its life.

The rest of the rifle is great. Mine was made in 1897.
