“Seems like you are mimicking the DU position on shAmnesty.”
Nope, I only care about the border. Once the fence is in place and Republican is in office, pull a rat and renege on the promise and deport all of them.

Plus it would be best to correctly spell the plural form of ‘bus.’ There’s just one ess. Two esses means more than one kiss.

The standard way to fleece a rube is to offer him an easy way to get what he wants anyway. Rubio wanted to be a presidential contender. They whispered into his naive ear that amnesty was the way. His ego and his cultural sympathies did the rest. McCain thinking: "#$%!^ Latino! Should be mowing my lawn! I used to be Chuck's Number One!"

"the only other option was to put all the illegals who had crossed our border on busses and send them back to Mexico." That was the only other option? I don't think so. Why tell that story?
1. Have employers to use E-verify or other data base (soc. sec.) to determine whether employees are legal.
2. Levy huge fines on businesses that either refuse to determine legal status or who knowingly hire illegals.
3. Deny benefits to illegals. No Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), no welfare, no food stamps, no WIC, no unemployment benefits, no social security.
4. Interpret the 14th Amendment as written. i.e. - no anchor babies.
5. Once caught here illegally, you can never return to the US legally.
No jobs, no freebies, and no chance use their children. They will leave on their own. That is what George Bush could have done. Oh and by the way, it was done once before by Eisenhower and it worked then.

that the only other option was to put all the illegals who had crossed our border on busses and send them back to Mexico. Straw man arguments don't do well on FR. They will self deport if we stop letting them have more rights than a citizen.

illegals receiving citizenship are forbidden to vote for a period of 10 years. It is illegal to ask if one is a citizen in California elections, even if they can't speak one word of English.

Marco Rubio sabotaged Marco Rubio by choosing to die politically on the same illegal amnesty hill that Bush 43 chose to die politically on.*************************
Let's not forget Jeb Bush, or Bush 41. This may be an issue:
Jeb Bush was born in Midland, Texas. When he was six years old, the family relocated to Houston, Texas.
The origin of the name Jeb is his initials; Jeb is merely a direct pronunciation of J.E.B. (John Ellis Bush).[6]
Jeb initially attended Grady Elementary School in Houston.[7] Following in the footsteps of older brother, George, Jeb Bush attended high school at the private Massachusetts boarding school, Phillips Academy Andover. At the age of 17, he taught English as a second language in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, as part of Phillips Academy's student exchange program. While in Mexico, he met his future wife, Columba Garnica Gallo. In 1973, Bush graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Latin American Studies. He completed his coursework in two and a half years.[citation needed]

Someone needs to remind the GOP, Krauthammer and Chait, that the Republican ticket's share of the Hispanic vote in the '88 *and* '92 elections actually
dropped from where it had been in '84.
The '86 amnesty, signed into law by Reagan himself, - only made things worse.
