Well, I do know that the only box of toothpicks I could find in it... “made in China.” What happened to the old American brands?

Forster [Fryeburg, Me] used to make the BEST toothpicks.....and wooden clothes pins! Sadly their plant closed. Maine also lost their last sardine processing plant. These are things I’d like to see restored. Americana.

Government regulation kills these small industries.

I used to go into small stores up in the northwoods and be able to find old inventory.....but no more.
