What do you think is happening now? Really? I’ve voted for Bush, Dole, W. - both times, McCain (Palin, really) and Romney. I’ve watched as these men fight conservatives with barrels blazing and yet roll over and appease who you (and I) consider the real enemy. I witnessed pure Reagan hate at the Republican convention in 1984 from GOPe purists. What am I to deduce from all this?
The fight is not between D & R or liberal and conservative any longer (and hasn’t been for a good while). It is the entrenched DC versus US.
I agree with you. Reagan is my hero but he was despised by many of his fellow republicans. I also agree that the fight is between the entrenched DC versus US. I will gladly vote for any true conservative that has a chance to win, but if I can’t have that, then I think it is still better to accept the lesser of two evils. It is a marathon, not a sprint.
