Unless the GOP starts winning what were called Reagan Democrats we seem to be screwed.

I don't think there are Reagan Democrats anymore. As the Democrat party has moved further and further to the left, those Reagan Democrats have either become Republicans or forsaken both parties altogether.

Or died. a lot of them were older new Deal Dem’s (often ethnic Catholics in the North) who went to the New Deal in the sky and wee replaced by amore trendy younger generation.
