I came down on the side of the Ukrainian resistance a few months ago when I read the issues. The Ukraine does NOT want to be part of a resurgent USSR under Putin. Putin offers them nothing but a heavy hand from Moscow. Freedom for a free state offers them autonomy in selecting their own allies, their own economy, and their own future.

They have a critical geopolitical location, huge resources, and a base of freedom loving people.

How anyone can be deceived by KGB graduate Vladimir Putin is beyond me. Most who are had the odd opinion that Vladimir was a savior just because he opposed Obama in Syria. Suddenly, because he was correct once, they started viewing him positively, and they tried to extend that to the Ukraine.

I’ve heard that Putin is worth 70 billion dollars. Anyone want to hazard a guess how he got that? Is he in the oil business? Caviar? What?

I’m not on Putin’s side. I think the Ukrainian people are being used as pawns and cannon fodder in a power struggle by two sides, neither of which is on Ukraine’s side.

Treebeard said in the LOTR, when asked which side he was on:

(Paraphrased)

I’m on no one’s side, because no on is on my side.
