So our gutless wonder of a President says that Russia should get "more involved" in the Ukraine, even though the entire dispute is over Russian puppets in the Ukraine selling their country out to Russia.

I'd love to hear the justifications of the chorus of Putin's catamites who infest this forum.

Putin's catamites

Putin stands up to the homosexualists. The US and the EU teach homosexualist perversions to five year olds.

I wish they merely identified their excuses by number:

1. Putin loves his country.
2. George Soros.
3. The protestors are Muslim/Nazi/communists/liberals.
4. The EU.
5. Homos.
6. Other.

No good end is served by deliberate and provocative American interference in that part of the world. Our own house needs a thorough cleaning before we’ll be in a position to urge “reforms” on a Christian nation (two things we’re not and can’t really understand). Yes, the current Ukrainian government may be authoritarian, or even tinged by corruption. So what? They are not a threat to their neighbors — only a reproach to Western depravity.

What excuse would you prefer? Putin is leaving it up the the Ukranian President to end it and is not sending troops. How is any of this Putin’s fault or problem? If he is attempting to excert pressure on the Ukrane to do X or Y, it is up to the Ukranian President to grow a pair and do what is in the best interest of his nation.

As for your list, so what if Putin loves his country? I applaud him for doing so. He is in no way obligated to be a mimic of the U.S. we have our own putz-in-chief to deal with. Putin I can understand, I have been trained to understand the Soviet mind, which is how Putin was trained and is following in line with near predictable patterns. Thus far, he has done a far superior job than Barry.

Further, I am always suspect of “dissident” as they have almost always proven to be anarchists, Moslem Brotherhood, or anti-establishment and are thus criminal, IMHO.

Obama is also letting Putin lead the way in Syria.

I think this homosexual "controversy" between the US and Russia is just a smokescreen. My view is that Obama is doing all he can to strengthen Putin behind the scenes.

Putin is scum through and through and you're right...many Freepers are being fooled.

You've got to be kidding.

What happened in Ukraine helped lead the way in the Russian Revolution and they are trying to recreate their "glory days" again. Yes, of course, they will be a threat to their neighbors.

It's too late globally to practice tolerance for "peaceful protestors". Libya, Egypt and Syria have shown that these protests are being manipulated by forces that want to destroy, not reform, the status quo.

Would the US tolerate it? Around here, three or more people get together and create any kind of crime, and it's defined as gang activity.

My comment was directed toward the people who post on this forum in broken English, coincidentally always in favor of what Russian state-owned media is claiming.

Agreed. Russia causes much mischief (in Iran, etc.). But the greatest threat to Western civilization is not Putin or Russia, it's radical islam. Russia should be our natural allies in this struggle. But instead we lecture the Russians like they are stupid and mean little children.

Not very nice.

I have nothing for Putin, but I DO object to the constant strife, violence, and great power conflicts that have arisen since 1918 out of the creation of imaginary Wilsonian "nation-states", of which "Ukraine" is one.

World peace was much better preserved when Vienna, Moscow, Constantinople, and Berlin were in the business of sorting out these various tribes.

In the present case, "Ukraine" is a region, not a nation. L'viv and the surrounding regions are inhabited by Europeans who want to, and who should, participate in the political and economic life of that continent. Kyev and East belong to a Eurasian peoplen who have almost zero in common with Europeans and who are very closely related to Russians (if they are not Russians themselves). The idea of having these two separate nations in a unitary state dreamed up at Harvard is profoundly non-conservative.

You want war? Look at Czechoslovakia 1939, Poland 1939, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq all the time, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Bukovina, the lands of the Kurds, Central and West Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc, etc.

In fact, it's hard to identify a single imaginary state dreamed up by the Davos people or their predecessors at Harvard or in the State Department or Whitehall which has not caused bloodshed which, in total, is on a planetary scale.

What's going on in Kyev is just the latest episode in a 95-year old progressive fantasy to remake the world.
