It is with great sorrow that Trident Group confirms the death of two Security contractors while onboard a merchant vessel which was pierside in the Seychelles. At the request of the families, the names are not being released. Seychelles authorities are conducting a full investigation of the circumstances surrounding the incident. There is no immediate indication as to the cause of death, but the deaths were not caused by operational activity. Authorities identified the two men as Jeffrey Reynolds and Mark Kennedy, both 44.Details of the contractors' deaths remain unclear, but they were not on watch and did not die while performing a security operation, Tom Rothrauff, the president of the Trident Group, said. He said an initial assessment of the scene did not suggest any foul play.
