How is it this guy can spend $100 million but Dinesh DSouza(sp) gets a $500,000 bond for a $20,000 donation? Help?Because D'Souza isn't in trouble for spending $20k, he's in trouble for fraudulently using straw donors to evade reporting requirements and individual contribution limits. Campaign finance law is pretty straightforward and a man of D'Souza's intellect should have known better.

I knew this billionaire was a Democrat just from reading the first two sentences of the posted article. A Republican, even a RINO, wouldn't be calling up the New York Slimes to boast about his planned meagabuck contributions.
BTW, aren't the Republicans supposed to be the party of the "1%" crowd? Seems like the 'Rats enjoy their share of contributions from the fat cats - in this case, one very much a political fat cat - even more.

What’s so special? Michael Huffington spent 28m for His Senate run, lost to DI FI by 2% — so sad as DI FI was damaged goods after getting bruised by Pete Wilson for while running for Governor.

Wasn't it just last Sunday when David Axelrod was moaning about the possibility the Koch Bros will be spending $20 million to influence the next election? Wonder how Davy feels about this guy?
Oh, wait. Did someone say he's a Democrat?
Never mind.

Dems have a great lineup.
Crony capitalists to provide the $$.
Entitlement army to provide the votes.
This guy funds a lot of “issue” adverts that attack candidates rather than putting money into actual Democrat candidate campaign funds. So he avoids any “limits” on donations.
I’d bet he’s also funding libertarian/3rd party candidates who stand a good chance of bleeding R votes producing a Clintonian plurality win for the D side.
