The 100% support means nothing. What these groups do is base the voting record on a few cherry picked issues. Behind closed doors, they work with leadership to choose votes that look favorable to candidates and enjoy large membership support. Harder issues like stopping pork barrel projects, deficit reduction, debt limit, lower taxes, (real reform) reduce regulation, trade pacts, etc. are never chosen.

For example, here are the cupcake votes (2011 - 2013)

U.S. SENATE KEY VOTES

1099 Reporting Repeal Amendment (S.Amdt. 9)

Repealing The Healthcare Law (S.Amdt. 13)

Davis-Bacon Restrictions Amendment (S.Amdt. 19)

SBIR/STTR Reauthorization Act (S. 1867)

Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act (H.R. 4)

Regulatory Reform Amendment (S.Amdt. 390)

Duplicative Government Programs Amendment (H.J.Res. 66)

Contractor Withholding Repeal (H.R. 674)

Balanced Budget Amendment (S.J.Res. 10)

Nullify the NLRB “Ambush” Election Rule (S.J. Res. 36)

Tax Hike Prevention Amendment (S. Amdt. 2573)

For the record, most GOP gets 100%.. However, Paul, Lee and Coburn did not vote for #4- SBIR/STTR Reauthorization Act. This is an SBA give way.
