This is going to be a tough one…..we need to get rid of Corynan, of course, but we have at least 2 candidates that will be diluting each other’s votes, and people here like both of them.

I guess that’s what primaries are for.

They aren't diluting each other's votes, they are taking votes away from Cornyn.

I’m not so much worried about that because its a runoff. All votes not for Cornyn are a net positive. I just wish we had done better here. Cornyn low approvals were a real opportunity and I’m not impressed with what we’ve fielded. Stovall has not gotten national groups on board like other candidate in other states, and Stockman (who could have been a solid favorite had he got in earlier and actually campaigned) has just slept through the entire thing. If that was his plan, he should have stayed in the House.

Like I say, if Cornyn is toppled, it will be our doing.
