Is Coleman solid? What are his credentials?
I think you’re forgetting about Kay Hagen in NC, and she’s toast. As for Arkansas, there’s no way Asa Hutchinson beats Tom Cotton who will absolutely crush Mark Pryor in November.
Correction...pays to read the thread completely before you post. Thought you were referring to the Senate contests, not the governor’s races. Damn shame that the Arkansas GOP can’t find someone of Cotton’s caliber to run for governor; guess we can only hope that enough folks turn out to vote for Tom that he can carry Asa across the finish line.
Wait, they’re trying to impeach Nixon? What is this, 1974? : )
It has a ring to it.

Coleman hasn’t held office before. He ran in the Senate primary in 2010, but fared poorly (though the party had already coalesced behind John Boozman, and any credible nominee would’ve beaten Blanche Lincoln). I support him if only because his “less known” factor probably helps him in the general more than Hutchinson’s three-time also-ran status.
Sorry for the double post.
Many thanks seizethecarp!

Hmm, interesting. I may send some money his way. The gubernatorial races are important.
Here’s his website, so you can look it over and make an informed decision: http://www.curtiscoleman.com/
I am pleasantly surprised.
The poll also has appointed Senator Brian Schatz trailing Colleen Hanabusa in the rat primary.
I wish we had viable candidates for Senate and CD-1.
That’s good news. We want as bloody a rat primary there as possible.
Ambercrombie’s own primary is useful to us.
But the Senate primary is meaningless if we don’t have a viable candidate.
Djou might run again in HI-1, although he was a disappointment. When Abercrombie appointed Schatz, that really harmed his standing in the party more than anything else (especially seeing that Inouye explicitly stated he wanted Hanabusa to succeed him). Although I’m also no fan of Lingle, she probably would be competitive after that ugly primary.
Yes, what was he thinking appointing a White man? Not very smart.
