It was very sad watching team 11 on GPS yesterday. Iron Dog was saying they’d tow to Big Lake, repair, and be back. There appeared to be no rush to leave Skwentna, which was a big clue as to what was going to happen - at that point, the guys were two days behind the field and going on didn’t make sense. When they did start towing, 11a (Todd) got to the Susitna River and went straight up and over to Wasilla ..... obviously going “home”. Looking forward to seeing Todd/Tyler back at it next year!

Regardless of Team 11 having to scratch, it’s still quite a race going on .... the first couple of teams are all experienced Iron Doggers .... racing really close in time so it will be a big scramble for the halfway money in Nome! After that, the race for the finish should be exciting as well.

Oh No!

Terrible News.

My G-d Bless them anyway. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.
