I wish her well, I wish I could get 75 to 100 mil-large for a venture, but in terms of the cooking guru's on the Food Network, I didn't get her, tried to watch but the ingredients turned me off. I agree it was too fattening, not that I am anti-butter, but I have my limits...
I learn so much more from "Triple D" watching Guy and all the other chef's tricks, herbs and spices, and combinations to experiment to my hearts content and come up with some interesting twist on sauces and rubs on my own....
I LOVE Guy Fieri. My husband and I lived in northern California for a bit and Guy is from about 1/2 hour south of Eureka, California. There is NOTHING up there....absoLUTELY nothing. I was AMAZED that the little podunk area he's from produced SUCH a fabulous chef and GUY!!
I like Paula Deen too but, YES, way too much butter, sugar, salt and fat. Those four ingredients, by the way, not only make food taste good but they make food TASTE.
Otherwise, we would just be strapping on the old FOOD BAG.
Her drawl gets to me after a while, though. It's A LOT put on, I've heard. That's okay with me, but I do get tired of it after a while.
I love Guy Fieri and the Barefoot Condessa because they speak like NORMAL folks. Giada us a twit and a twig who doesn't ever eat and I WAY, WAY distrust skinny chefs: WAY, WAY, WAY unclear on the concept of being a great chef.
