I’ve worked with olympians for over thirty years. There is a core of them that are environmentalists. They are sportin’ algores, flying all over the planet for competitions and encouraging the wast of energy by promoting sporting events, which are horribly anti-environmental.
I don’t hear any of them asking for restrictions on the crowd size for the next two Olympics.
My husband is a runner, and we get a couple of running magazines. It seems as if being a top athlete requires a person to ignore a great deal of everything in real life, including things like the average winter temperature in Sochi.
