That would set the precedent for the promiscuous AIDS infected to be rounded up and prosecuted.
Those presently pushing that agenda would wail as much as they did at the prospect of closing the very bath houses which facilitated the spread of the disease back when.
I do not think AIDS and measles are quite in the same category. Measles is highly contagious, and spread through aerosols which can stay in the air up to 2 hours after the infected person leaves. There is nothing people can do to avoid measles (other than the vaccine).
AIDS, OTOH, requires physical contact. People can easily avoid AIDS by restricting their number of partners. I know it is not politically correct to “blame the victim”, but the majority of people who get AIDS do so as a direct result of their behavior.
Despite that, I can’t say that I would be against prosecuting people with AIDS who knowingly continue to engage in behavior likely to spread the disease.
