New Signup Numbers Show Why Obamacare May Be Impossible To Repeal

For Republicans who want to repeal the Affordable Care Act, there is a major problem: many people may hate the law, but just as many like it.

“The thing that bothers me is people constantly forget that all politics is local, and that there’s great variation in the extent to which the law is accepted or is going to work. It’s state by state,” says Austin Frakt, an associate professor of public health at the Boston University School of Public Health and co-author of the popular Incidental Economist blog. “It’s not fair to say we’ll repeal the whole thing because there’s half the states that are cool with it.”

To like it is not to know it. Give em’ time, and give em’ the whole law. Even liberals will tire of eating this sh!t sandwich. Paying more for less, and being forced to do it is not a part of Obamacare that gets better with time.

IF and WHEN conservatives ever take this country back, I believe there is a possibility that odumbocare will be replaced, with what, I cannot say.

I also believe there is also the HIGH PROBABILITY that before that happens, the health care system (failed odumbocare) will be switched to a “single payer” system and under control of the gubmint.

Funny, it was okay to impose Obamacare nationwide when more than half the states opposed it.

Delusional writer trying to suggest that Ocare shouldn’t be repealed and thrown on the trash heap of history

The reality of the situation is that when the employer mandates finally kick in and several million workers have their group health insurance canceled, Obamacare will be the only game in town. The economic chaos will be so great that Americans will be screaming for a single payor national health plan. Game, set, and match to the Communists.

There’s been some debate over the last couple decades about whether the HK-1 Hercules/Spruce Goose stayed in ground effect during it’s “flight”, with some doubt cast on whether it could really fly.

Not that being limited to staying in ground effect is a bad thing, the Sovs had good working ground effect designs. It’s just that the HK-1 couldn’t survive the rigour of medium and long range ground effect flights, especially in an open ocean environment.

Just try to find a Dr. This article is BS.

Just wait until the employer mandate kicks in...

The author doesn't understand that we're in the top half of the first inning, Obama's pitching, and there's no outs, the bases are loaded, and five runs have scored.

The author's basically saying, we're in good shape, the other team's pitcher is coming to the plate.

Unfortunately for the author, the game is being played under AL rules, and the DH is in the nine slot.

Does any one really believe this crap was started to save money or give healthcare to needy people. This nonsense could be repealed instantly by telling anyone who gets free healthcare to go back to the emergency rooms until a sane system can be implemented. Not a government power grab.

Matthew Herper is missing the elephant in the room. The number of people signing up is vastly dwarfed by the number of people harmed by this bill. I would say it is almost impossible NOT to repeal it in time. PLUS, many of those signing up would prefer to go back to the plans they had before Obamacare because they were less expensive and better for them.

He doesn't care about the truth. Anyone with a brain the size of a pea sees through this. The sign up numbers have nothing but the administration word for proof since they refuse to give the proof of how many have actually paid. Same with the so called 6.6 percent employment figures....just pulled out of their A$$es!!

They may be OK with it now but in a couple of years when the amount the state has to chip in goes way up I think they will change their minds.

Using Karl Marx’s ideas to help the middle class is like using Adolph Hitler’s ideas to help the Jews.

But the middle class keeps voting for this stuff, so what do you want me to say?

Spruce Goose ? But ... it DID fly

See my response at #38. It "flew" like Obamacare "works."
