It doesn't matter about his newness.
This is a legitimate column by Hugh Hewitt, who is singing high praise for Mitch McConnell's leadership in the Senate.
Hewitt trashes Boehner in the House, but supports McConnell and company in the Senate as "secure and very capable... smart, principled, experienced and crucially, strategic thinkers."

They would go out and buy bigger knee pads and bend over backwards to “share power” and “work together” to “get things done for the American people” and “avoid gridlock” because “let’s face it, without the WH Obama will veto anything extreme and backed by the tea party”...
There, just wrote Boehner’s talking points for 2015-2016. Where’s my consulting fee John????

Well, welcome back. The last concern troll thread you started - and abandoned - was
THIS. I'm smelling a little ozone here.

That ignores the fact that the Democrats would filibuster them all. If Reid can unilaterally abolish the filibuster for Obama appointments then a Republican controlled Senate can unilaterally abolish the filibuster for everything else.
They should do it on day one of the Republican controlled Senate just to hear the Democrats and the lamestream media scream about the unfairness of it. Of course they won't do it, because they have no balls.

Not a damn thing.
Even in January 2017 if they had veto proof majorities in the congress and the white house they wouldn’t do a damn thing except kowtow to the democrats. They are lower than whale s*&$!

I don’t have an opinion of McConnell either way.
But I think he has not been very receptive of the Tea Party. Not a good attitude, but the prevailing attitude of the GOPe.

If Reid can unilaterally abolish the filibuster for Obama appointments then a Republican controlled Senate can unilaterally abolish the filibuster for everything else. And considering how much the Republicans screamed at Reid's actions how hypocritical will they look by doing that?

And considering how much the Republicans screamed at Reid's actions how hypocritical will they look by doing that? No more hypocritical than the Democrats for unilaterally abolishing the filibuster of Obama appointments after screaming bloody murder when the Republicans suggested doing it in 2005, when the Democrats were filibustering all of President Bush's judicial appointments.

I disagree. I think the Republicans have a much better than 50/50 chance of retaking the Senate in November. I hope you're right and I'm wrong but I'm looking at two GOP Senate losses right out of the starting gate in Kentucky and Georgia.

Well, they would have to get more signature lines on any future surrender documents. They would need to additional testicle receptacles for deposits upon assuming office. Probably more in line with this thought that could be identifies!

Not one dimes worth of difference. That was George Wallace's campaign slogan in his 1964 run for POTUS, or rather the Democrat nominee for POTUS against JFK.
Even though he was a Democrat, he was right.
