(Reuters) - Eleven people died, more than a thousand were injured and tens of thousands lost power when the worst snowstorm in decades hit Tokyo and areas around the Japanese capital before heading north to blanket the tsunami-hit Pacific coast.

Hmmmm...that’d be a cold trip. Would have to wear so many coats, scarves, helmet, gloves, long underwear, as to make standing up impossible, let alone to move while skating. LOL

We're about get 10+ inches of global warming. In the south, that's akin to the next ice age.
Interestingly enough, the last time we got hit with a storm this bad was 2000, which was right at the height of the GW hysteria, if memory serves.
History never repeats, but it does rhyme.

Snow in Tokyo is very rare from what I remember. Not a rarity, but it does snow there a couple of times each year. Iwakuni, where I was stationed a few times, gets snow with about the same frequency and it is usually gone in a day.
