Do they treat the roads in winter there? I hope so because nobody can negotiate ice.

Treat them to what?
Cake and Cream to go with the Ice?

Or do you mean sand and salt?

If the latter, NO.

We don't get ice that often.

When I was a kid they didn’t treat roads like they do now. We had studded snow tires. They made really neat noise on dry pavement and you had to take them off in spring. Then states started to outlaw them because they tear up the pavement. But those suckers gripped the road!

I hope they put some salt down. Sand at least so it’s not so slick. Ice on the roads is very dangerous. Especially when drivers are not used to dealing with it. It only takes one drivers mistake to cause a big accident involving others.
