Is there an implied EMP threat here? Warships, or any ships, that get close to the coast would have an easy time launching a missile up over the USA. Our antimissile response would have to be near instantaneous and 100%. A freighter could launch one or two of those things. A couple of warships would surely have a capacity to launch a bunch of them simultaneously.
People can deny reality all they want, but EMP is a poor man’s game changer. While I think most estimates and predictions are exaggerated the damage would be catastrophic.
We would be wise to stockpile replacements for key electrical infrastructure (just in case).
What implied threat are you referring to? Iran's laughable “fleet”?
Perhaps you never considered that The Soviets, and now Russia, along with China, have previously had nuclear tipped missiles in subs patrolling off our coast, and it's almost %100 likely they also have them off of our coasts right this minute. That's the nature of the world we've lived in for over 60 years now in the case of Russia, and more recently China.
I don't hear people constantly pissing and moaning about that reality on this board, yet you have Iran float a couple of ships over to our neighborhood and all of a sudden nuke's will be raining down on our capitol or EMP bursts are imminent!
Honestly, get a grip!
Precisely the point I was going to make.
