AOL became the latest company to blame Obamacare for cutting back on employee benefits.
The tech firm will now pay its 401(k) company match only to employees who are active on Dec. 31 of that year, as opposed to in their paychecks throughout the year. So those who leave the company before the end of the year will forfeit the match.

The reason for the reduction of the 401k match was that increased healthcare costs due to ObamaCare forced the company to cut 401k benefits.
The CEO blamed “Distressed Babies” for the increase in employee expense which led to a reduction of available benefits. That’s a very apt term “Distressed Babies” to describe Obama supporters in general.
I thought “blame Obamacare” could be interpreted as a bias, too. Perhaps “mention” would have been a more suitable choice but I guess that is also open to interpretation.
I foresee many employee departures in early January.
Just what this country needs; another government agency whos expressed purpose is to tell us how to live our lives.
This agency should be named after Moochele Obama who has made it her job to tell us how to live our lives and to tell us we dont know how to raise our children.

I’m just amazed that AOL is still around at all.
Those are what those things they mailed me were for? I tossed a few dozen of them that I can recall if not more way back when. Besides I thought they were tacky.

Retention issues.
This lasted all of one week. It was wildly unpopular with the employees, and AOL has now changed its policy back to the old policy.
