There are “certain people” related to my work that are insistent that they be able to communicate with me by texting, so I finally broke down and got a phone with a Blackberry type keypad. It's a Nokia X2, which they don't sell around here, but I was able to pick one up on Amazon (unlocked). My new car has hands-free bluetooth built in, so it works with that too, which is really nice. I only need to charge it about once a week.

YOu just reminded me....I am on call this week...and yesterday I had to go to a conference....and I had to have someone show me how to send a freakin text message.....So now my life is complete.....LMAO!!!!!!!
I am one of those people that was tethered to a pager for YEARS....and now I am tethered to a cell phone....when I am of duty EVERYTHING is shut off...and I do not own, nor do I want a perconal cell phone....People have forgotten how to write a letter due to E-mail. They have forgotten how to have a conversation due to texting...they have forgotten how to drive because of cell phones....call me an old fart...but I LIKE QUIET!!!!!!!!!!!!
