New Payment Method Scans Veins (in your hand), not Visa
CBN ^ | February 07, 2014 | CBN

American consumers may soon be able to pay for merchandise by hand - literally.

Two friends in New Jersey have come up with PulseWallet, a system that links your credit card information and other payment methods to your palm.

The technology scans the patterns of the veins in your palms. You can then use that information to confirm your identity when you pay for something at a checkout or elsewhere by using a biometric payment terminal.

"You are your wallet. Secured with a key that only you hold," the company's website said.

The devices are set for mass production in the spring.

My doctor’s office uses these scanners for check-in.

Doesn’t seem like it would prevent hacking, that it would just insure identity.

I just purchased from Amazon today some chains for my chainsaw.

No request for proof of identity other than the sign-in requirements.

holy crap these biometrics are really ramping up in a scary way. the other day Michael Savage talked about a swallowable pill type camera that is now being introduced in lieu of the more “invasive” colonoscopy procedure. the thing will photograph your colon as it slowly moves its way thru the bowel and I suppose eventually gets naturally expelled.....

The Hand could be useful to obtain future gov’t payments.

You could be easily worth more if you are “parted out”.

I hope they program it so a cut-off hand won't work.

I think so.

Sounds right. Miniaturized people in a blood vessel pod/vehicle....something like that.

You know, just because it's used for identity in shopping doesn't make it EVIL. But I knew someone would come up with the mark of the beast thing.
