Dwayne Stovall Earns Endorsement from Grassroots America and from Former Stockman Supporter and Wins Seventh Straw Poll

(February 6, 2014) - Tea Party-endorsed candidate in Texas for U. S. Senate, Dwayne Stovall, just received a notification from JoAnn Fleming, executive director of Grassroots America - We the People - one of the largest constitutional conservative grassroots groups in Texas, that Dwayne Stovall has earned the enthusiastic and unanimous support from its board of directors. The organization will release a full statement of support later today.

Stovall also wins the support and endorsement of Southern Conservative, a group that formerly supported Rep. Steve Stockman. Southern Conservative uses all means necessary to promote conservatism and remind the country of our roots.

Southern Conservative said in a statement: "Why has Southern Conservative now finalized support for Stovall? Stockman, after committing to attend multiple Tea Party Events, did not make an appearance or extend a courtesy call as to why. Southern Conservative believes that becoming an elected official is a privilege, and to earn that privilege starts with standing by your word and proving your sincere interest to fulfill the obligations you have made to your supporters. It has become evident to Southern Conservative that Stovall is the our State's best fit and has the overall framework to return our state back to the constitutional principles necessary to redirect our country to the fundamental values of our founding fathers."

Stovall said in a statement: "It has been my great privilege to spend the last year crisscrossing Texas and meeting thousands of Texans who love this State and America. I believe that candidates for office owe the public an opportunity to vet them, answering questions about their lives directly and thoroughly.

I can go with Stovall, but I feel I should first vote for Stockman.

I’m happy with Stovall or Stockman. I prefer Stockman to win because he’s already in all the fights that matter, and Stovall will have some de-briefing to do, but if Stovall is the one forcing Cornyn into a runoff with the biggest vote count, I will vote for him in the runoff and support him any way he needs.

I’m vice versa. I prefer Stovall but would have no problem picking Stockman over Cornyn in a runoff. Heck, I’m contemplation voting ‘Rat in the general if Cornyn escapes retribution in the primary.

I will vote for Abbott and the nominee for lt. gov. in the fall to block Davis and Van de Putte but sit out Cornyn and George P. Can probably vote for all the other statewide Republican nominees too.

John Cornyn "pushing back" (as he says in his commercials here in Texas).

I prefer Stovall in the real world but we don't live in a real world [politically] anymore.

I am anticipating Stovall rising fast in TX politics either way, statehouse or Senate. Win-win, if we can keep Cornyn under 50%, which is guaranteed as of today.

If Stockman takes the biggest bite to knock down Cornyn in the runoff, I hope our blood-red StateHouse will sweep Stovall in, in some capacity.

Anybody But Cornyn.

I’m supporting Mr. Stockman. I believe he is the more conservative of the two.

Must be his wife. I should research the particulars of this photo, was it shot in TX? Where zero is considered an un-couth, debased fraud-vote-seining invader?

I think you are correct. May as well have had Murkowski up with him fawning over zero.

I had high hopes for Stockman and feel let down by his ignoring the campaign. To me, its obvious he never really wanted to be Senator or changed his mind for some reason.

Stovall has sounded the more conservative all along, but between he and Stockman, I figured Stockman’s previously being elected would give him some edge over Stovall and considering the realities about Stockman, Stovall is worthy of our support and vote.

Other than what has transpired with Stockman lack of campaigning, how could we think he would be different if he got into a runoff? A vote for Stockman is most assuredly a waste.

Stockton has some issues with ethics that Cornyn would use against him. Stockman cannot beat Cornyn. Stovall will.
