Witness at IRS Hearing: ‘I Will Not Retreat; I Will Not Surrender’
CNS News ^ | 02/06/2014 | Melanie Hunter

King Street Patriots founder Catherine Engelbrecht, one of many conservatives who claim they were unfairly targeted by the IRS when applying for tax-exempt status, told Congress Thursday that she is “more determined ever than before to stand before you and to all of America and say that I will not retreat.”

“This government attacked me because of my political beliefs, but I refuse to be cast as a victim,” she said. “I am not a victim, because a victim has no options. I do have options, and I intend to use them all to the fullest extent of my capabilities.” “As an American citizen, I am part of a country that still believes in freedom of speech,” Engelbrecht said. She pledged to press the issue “in every legal way possible,” including filing suit against the IRS, and vowed to continue to speak out – “here in Congress and all across this country.” “No American citizen should be willing to accept a government that uses its power against its own people,” she added.

In her prepared remarks, Engelbrecht said she refuses to “let a precedent be set that allows members of Congress, particularly Cummings, ranking member of the Oversight committee, “to misrepresent this governing body in an effort to demonize and intimidate citizens.”

Including the Second Amendment option with the First ought to get their attention...it may be the only thing that will do so.

Shoot until you run out of their bullets.......

Not possible. I heard Obastard telling Ted Baxter there isn’t a smidgen of corruption at the IRS. Not a smidgen. And Baxter didn’t challenge him on it so it must be so.

There was no vote on impeachment in the House.

He resigned.

No impeachment.

Was Nixon Impeached by the full House? Because unless he was, he wasn’t, according to the Constitution I carry. It’s that simple. The Constitution doesn’t say anything about “clearing a Committee,” even if by a large margin. It says “House.”

Therefore, the whole world does not disagree with the other poster’s interpretation, but with yours. Nixon was not impeached. Fact.

And Nixon had the good grace to resign rather than face possible impeachment and put the nation through that mess. . .unlike an other, ahem, democRAT president. . .

Get the names of the direct agent and everyone up the line, and lock down their pay and benefits until this is resolved. Give em a taste of their own medicine. No retirement out of an investigation or lawsuit. That would IMMEDIATELY change the mentality of others in the IRS pulling this crap!

The next President also fell on his sword to keep the nation from being dragged though it. Ford knew if he Pardoned Nixon he’d throw away his chance to be elected on his own, but throw he did. I wonder how history would be different if Ford had followed through, declined to run in ‘76, and Reagan had gotten the Nomination?

It’s pretty stunning to see a supposed civics lesson in American government delivered by someone who’s grossly ignorant of a major event in American civic history. Other than that I savor the rage.

Nixon: caught covering up for underlings who were apprehended in a burglary trying to get dirt on a political opponent.

Clinton: caught lying to a grand jury about having sex with an underling to protect himself from a sexual harassment lawsuit.

One resigned while the other was impeached but stayed in office due to ‘Scottish law’.

Oh, I must admit I gloated so when Snarlin' Arlen lost his primary race...to a Rat. He served for months as a lame duck.

Agreed.
Vile, disgusting, hypocritical and loathsome.
Please, do what you can to spread the news of their irresponsibility locally.
For more to see and learn.

It is We The People who are able to stop their encroaching tyranny.
Once we have drawn the line.....
