does this take into account the many, many men who retire after 20 yrs in the military then never do a dang thing the rest of their lives, because I know quite a few living off their pensions....

I work with lots of women...nurses, therapists, aides, etc....I can tell you the women keep working well into their 60's while their husbands are "retired" or just not working....most women I work with will work til full SS age maybe beyond, while their husbands start collecting early......

LOL I’m one of those...the woman, that is with a guy that’s sort of looking, but family issues are keeping him from looking. I’d like a better job, but at 50+ I’m just not as sharp as I once was and doubt I’d get a new one.

If there is a wave of people retiring from the military right now, that could be a significant factor in this drop in labor force participation. There are now people who join the military because they think it is the most convenient way to get a guaranteed income as opposed to serving and protecting their nation and people. With the rapidly increasing amount of social engineering and pressure to diversify, it is probably only going to get worse.
