Louisiana has the same type Primary system.
Not quite, but pretty damn close. I think the idiots at the Grange, (the special interest group that sponsored the citizen initiative that gave us the Top Two Primary), used Louisiana as a model. We have always had an “open” primary which means we don’t register by party and you can vote in the primary for any party. That made for cross-over vote strategies and all other kinds of dishonesty. We should be required to register by party, R-D-I-L and stop trying to influence the primary by chicanery.
