Boehner has no power to appoint a special prosecutor. The only one who can do that is Eric Holder. Good luck.

Boehner has a lot of power he never uses. He could appoint a select committee on Benghazi, partially defund obamacare, engage obama directly re. IRS assaults on conservatives, etc., etc.

But that would require being an engaged opposition party, something he has no interest in doing. So instead we get this time wasting tip toe to the election strategy. It’s a proven loser game plan but that’s all he’s got.

.....difficult to pass this year....

Especially since Boehner’s boss (SOEBARKAH) is about to get exposed as a foreign plant by IRAN, and half of Congress is going to prison.

The Speaker of the HOUSE can appoint a HOUSE Special Prosecutor with subpoena powers.

The House Sergeant of Arms also has the power to arrest.

“Boehner has a lot of power he never uses.”

True. But he can’t appoint a special prosecutor. I was responding to the suggestion that he could.

Not so!

The Speaker of the HOUSE can appoint a HOUSE Special Prosecutor with subpoena powers.

It is part of the Constitutional Checks and Balances.

********************************************

Where is that in the Constitution? It's not. The only prosecutor he can appoint is in an impeachment trial.

Of course they can issue subpoenas. In fact they have, and Holder stonewalled. That leaves impeachment as the legal remedy. The Pubs could impeach the Obama and/or Holder. Politically it would be a disaster and it would get nowhere with Harry Reid as the judge, and the Democrat Senate as the jury.

I'm no fan of Boehner but that's the reality.

Of course. They are just waiting. Reminds me of What About Bob? Every time you open the door, there they are, waiting.
